Munich, 11th May, 2016 - Solar Frontier, the world's largest CIS solar energy solutions provider, has been awarded the "Top PV Brand 2016" seal by the independent market research institute, EuPD Research Sustainable Management GmbH (EuPD Research). The leading CIS module manufacturer from Japan won the award in the "Modules" category for the Netherlands based on brand recognition, distribution and popularity with customers.

EuPD Research, located in Bonn, Germany, has been conducting independent polls with installer companies in Europe since 2010. The results are published in its "European PV Installer Monitor" every year. The "Top PV Brand" seal is awarded exclusively to companies which stand out from the competition based on performance and reviews. This takes into consideration technical aspects and how companies differentiate themselves, including the systematic development of their brands as well as their positive image among qualified installers.

In the Netherlands, Solar Frontier has been working together with prominent and experienced distribution and installation partners Agro NRG, SolarClarity and Energiewonen for several years. Each of these companies has supported Solar Frontier’s high quality standards and has made substantial contributions to Solar Frontier’s positive image.

Solar Frontier is also continually developing its product line-up in the Netherlands and Europe, which includes its CIS PowerModules, its portfolio of PowerSet system solutions for private rooftops, and its PowerSet Industrial system solutions for commercial rooftops. At the heart of these solutions is Solar Frontier’s CIS technology, which generates exceptionally high yields under real operating conditions (more kWh per kWp). A large number of installed reference projects and independent institutes such as the German Fraunhofer Institute confirm the success of its CIS technology. Solar Frontier today continues to hold the world record in cell conversion efficiency for CIS and all thin-film technologies, at 22.3 %.

"The ’Top PV Brand’ award acknowledges our commitment to high quality and our drive to continually develop our product portfolio," says Wolfgang Lange, Managing Director of Solar Frontier Europe. "The EuPD seal is especially significant for Solar Frontier since it directly reflects our positive image among customers and recognition of our products by installers."
